On Wednesday afternoon, highly touted three-star linebacker Jaiden Braker flipped his commitment from joining the South Carolina Gamecocks to the LSU Tigers. The process started when Braker came down for a recruiting visit, which included an appearance at the Tiger’s annual Bayou Splash event in Baton Rouge. During the visit, the Tigers made a scholarship offer to Braker, but he wasted no time committing to the program.

Braker has been on the radar of first-year defensive coordinator Brett Baker for quite some time. After months of observation on the Snellville, Georgia native, Baker will now have another stout defender to join an already talented recruiting class on defense. Braker is 6’3, 215 pounds, and highly proficient as a sideline-to-sideline linebacker while playing high school football.

Braker had pledged his commitment to joining the Gamecocks on July 6, but it was only a verbal transaction, and he did not sign a letter of intent. He also had offers from Utah, Kentucky, and SMU programs. With the addition of Braker, the Tigers now have three linebackers who are a part of the class of 2025 recruiting class. The other two players at the linebacker position who committed to LSU are Keylan Moses and Charles Ross.
