The Baltimore Ravens have locked in one of their key offensive weapons for the long haul. On Thursday, the team announced it has signed wide receiver Rashod Bateman to a three-year, $36.75 million contract extension that includes $20 million in guaranteed money.

The new deal rewards Bateman after a breakout 2024 campaign in which he recorded career highs in both receiving yards (756) and touchdowns (9). It marks a significant vote of confidence from the organization in the former first-round pick, who has dealt with injuries earlier in his career but emerged as a reliable target for quarterback Lamar Jackson this past season.

Baltimore’s decision to extend Bateman also signals their commitment to maintaining a strong supporting cast around Jackson, as the franchise looks to remain a top contender in the AFC.

Bateman, 25, was originally selected with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Minnesota. After a promising rookie season, his development was slowed by injuries, but his 2024 performance proved that he could be a difference-maker in the Ravens’ aerial attack.

With Bateman now under contract through the 2028 season, the Ravens are betting on continued growth and consistency from the rising wideout as they aim to take the next step in their championship pursuit.
