Report: Eagles TE Dallas Goedert Drawing Trade Interest Ahead of NFL Draft

As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has emerged as a potential trade target, according to Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

In a tweet posted Wednesday morning, Schultz reported that “sources” have confirmed Goedert is “a name to watch on the trade market” as several teams are showing interest in acquiring the veteran tight end. With Goedert entering the final year of his current contract, interested teams also believe the Eagles would be open to accepting future draft picks in a deal if 2025 draft capital isn’t offered.

“Goedert is in the final year of his deal and he could be looking for a new contract as well,” Schultz added, noting that contract demands may also play a role in the Eagles’ willingness to move the tight end.

Goedert, 29, has been a reliable and productive option in Philadelphia’s offense since being selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. When healthy, he’s served as one of the better all-around tight ends in the league — contributing as both a pass catcher and blocker.

Despite his value, the Eagles have limited cap flexibility and a deep roster of offensive weapons, which could make Goedert’s future in Philadelphia uncertain. With contract negotiations looming and the team looking to stockpile picks, the possibility of a trade makes strategic sense if the right offer comes along.

The draft will provide an ideal window for such a deal to materialize, especially for tight end-needy teams looking to avoid using a high pick at the position. Whether Philadelphia moves Goedert before or during the draft remains to be seen, but his name is officially one to watch as trade chatter heats up.
